Formation continue des jeunes travailleurs selon le secteur de travail

Résumé
Dans le but de mieux saisir les besoins relatifs à la formation continue ainsi qu'au développement professional des jeunes adultes, une recherche a été menée auprès de 89 travailleurs âgés de mains de 30 ans et oeuvrant dans l'un et l'autre des trois secteurs de travail privé, public et parapublic. Les résultats laissent observer des distinctions entre ces secteurs; les débutants semblent concevoir la performance comme une réalité devant se rattier prioritairement soit au rendement (privé), à l'harmonisation avec le milieu (public) ou encore à l'association aux buts sociaux de l'organisation (parapublic). Des recommandations pratiques sont formulées en regard de la conception d'interventions éducatives mieux adaptées à ces jeunes adultes selon les grands types de milieux organisationnels dans lesquels ils oeuvrent.
With the intention to better understand the needs of young adults for continuing education and vocational development, this research has been carried out with 89 young adults under 30 years of age, working in three sectors: public, semipublic, or private. Differences between sectors were found. Novices seemed to link performance primarily with productivity (private sector); adjusting to the environment (public sector); and associating with the aims of the organization (semipublic sector). Practical suggestions are given for implementing educational strategies with young adults in each type of organization.
